I'm slightly enamored...actually obsessed...with Scotland! I read about it, talk about it, dream about it...so much so I guess Chris decided to do something about it and take me there.
I don't need anyone telling me how spoiled I am...I am completely aware of the fact that I have it good!!

It was cold!
Chris and I ran a half marathon while we were there. It was FREEZING!! The fact that I didn't train AT ALL, or that it was 85% uphill but only ran it 3 minutes slower than my Savannah race is a miracle. I'm telling you, it was the sheer joy of being in Edinburgh, seeing the sights, and knowing I was getting a massively huge traditional Scottish Meal afterwards that spurred me for those 13 miles!
It snowed on us as we drove up to the Highlands. (I'm giggling as I write this. I loved it. There are not words adequate enough to tell you how much I loved it!!)

One of my best friends, Carol Stephens, is a Moffat from Moffat, Scotland. So, on our way to England to hit the Preston England Temple and the Manchester United Field, Old Trafford, in Manchester, we made a stop in beautiful Moffat.
We HAD to stop at Gretna Green! Cheesy, I know, but come on! It was the Vegas of the 18th Century!!

I told Chris that many fasts and prayers will be dedicated to the hope that we serve a mission in Scotland. If not...we'll be racking up the frequent flyer miles, because I'm already wanting to go back!
